22 types of sake tasting trip - I had an enjoyable time with Rika, an experienced welcoming guide… I was so lucky that day I was the only one so i could have personal chitchat and time spent with Rika. We visited 2 breweries which introduced sake making and a bit history of the brewery.. I tried 4 types of Gekkeikan and then at the restaurants as described l, another 18 types of different sakes from different sake brewery…. So if you like Sake.. it’s a good chance… if you can’t drink too much like me.. you may take it as an introduction of sake wine tasting… the time arranged is good but we had to walk around, so wear comfortable shoes….

Highly recommend sake tour! - Matt was fantastic! Even though the sake museum was closed, he knew a second, smaller one nearby that absolutely made up for it. Very knowledgeable and the sake was delicious! Would highly recommend.

Fantastic 18 Sake Tasting & Museum - We did a sake tasting tour in Kyoto with Matt, and it was a wonderful experience. Our small group of six made everything smooth and enjoyable, especially meeting conveniently at the train station. Matt was very well organized and efficient. He shared a thoughtfully prepared set of presentation images that made it easy to understand the history of sake and gain a deeper appreciation of the culture. The sake history museum was fascinating, and it was impressive to see how sake production has evolved over time. Another highlight of the tour was walking through the local area with Matt. He has deep knowledge of the neighborhood and provided rich historical context along the way. He led us to a hidden, “hole-in-the-wall” restaurant—passing through several different eateries before arriving at a tucked-away sake tasting spot in the back. It was a truly unique experience and something we never would have discovered on our own. The food was delicious, the 18 sake tastings were memorable, and we had a great deal of fun. Matt’s English is fluent, and he is genuinely enthusiastic about sharing the history of this area. We had many engaging conversations and would highly recommend him as a tour guide.

An amazing tour through Fushimi - Woohee went above and beyond, staying longer and putting me on the train. She was a wonderful, considerate guide who helped me learn new things about the culture, was patient, and made sure every aspect of this tour was an experience I will remember well beyond today. This was my second experience with Magical Trip, amd so far, they were both wonderful. Ten out of five stars for Woohee-san!
