We had a blast - We really enjoyed this tour. We are in the midst of a month in Japan. Our guide was a delightful medical student, Kahtaro. He was smart, energetic and a native of Kyoto. He educated us and entertained us. Our group was fun and we really liked the variety of food and saki.

Lots of Food, Good Company - So much food! Went to two restaurants. One modern and one traditional. Great guide and info along the way. My favorite was the shrimp at the traditional restaurant.

Kyoto with our guide Kahtaro.. Fabulous tour ! - Kahtaro was absolutely lovely with a lot of knowledge about Kyoto and the different districts and food history as he was born and raised here. Took us to a temple and through the Gion area on the way to two different restaurant’s with traditional Kyoto food and Saki. It was very organized. His English is great!!

Would not recommend - The food tour felt more like a history lecture than a food tour. We ate at 2 restaurants where the food was served family style, but there was not enough of each type for all to try it. The guide had to read what was served from her phone, and the food felt completely random. Shio was really sweet, but quite unexperienced.
