Very nice walking tour of Nishiki with tasty snacks - The Tour was sold as a small group tour. On arrival there were two guides for only 6 people. There were two of us and walked with guide Yuki. So we had our private guide. A very nice lady, who speaks enough good English and is very accessible. She took us to places we wouldn't go any time soon. That’s what you do a tour for. We were able to taste quite a few snacks and didn't need lunch afterwards.

The Amazing Yuko - Everything about this experience was great. My son and I arrived at the specified location and Yuko was there waiting for us. She was incredibly friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the history of Nishiki market, the thousands of items they sell there and Kyoto in general. We enjoyed food from many stalls, were introduced to products we never knew existed (squishy soap?!) My son’s favorite location was the one that sold the Wagyu beef skewers and my favorite was the soy milk donuts, I could have eaten a dozen of them on my own 😋. Lastly we visited both a Shinto shrine and a Buddhist temple and were schooled in the traditional ways of each. Our tour went a bit long but we powered through and it was worth it.

Nishiki Market Food Tasting Tour - This was a really enjoyable food tasting tour. There were set stops to try different foods, some off which I wouldn't have tried unless we'd been on the tour and all of which I enjoyed. Yume, our tour guide, was excellent and gave her recommendations but with no pressure to go with her suggestions, although we all did. Yume didn't rush us despite us running over the alloted time and was a great guide throughout. I'd recommend this tour and advise people to go with the food recommendations just to potentially try something different.

Very good tour for lunch - It was a good and short tour. You got food and drink and if you wanted you could buy something like souvenir yourself in the shops, because you are only a small group. Also the tips from the travel guides (Keiko) were good and you could also use some well (e.g. buy a thing cheaper).

Amazing market tasting tour with Yuko - Our guide Yuko was incredibly pleasant, informative and made our experience touring the Nishiki Market amazing. It was a good-centric tour and we tried so many delectable items that my only advice is to pace yourself. Well worth booking with her to make your visit to the market one to remember.
