If you lose your way, please head for Yasaka Shrine at first. From Yasaka Shrine, please walk along the Higashi-ohji Street to the North and you will find the sign board of our shop on the West side of the Higashi-ohji Street. Our shop is located on the 5th floor of the building.

My first kimono - It took us a while to find the shop but once we got there things went smoothly. It was quite an experience to be fitted into the kimono. I had no idea of the undergarments which were a part of the outfit. My friend and I had a ball walking through the streets of Kyoto.

There is a great... - There is a great selection of Kimonos at this location. They had a fast and efficient process of getting us changed in and out of the Kimono. It was worth the extra $ to get our hair styled and embellished with flowers.

Kimono-Kyoto-Tea ceremony... feel like a Japan - It was shiny, crowded, no fee, half-day long, with a tour (Sayga Travel). We love the Kimono experience, we visited a temple, and walked around in the streets shopping for traditional items. The tea ceremony was interesting and contrary to the "running Western lifestyle".

Great experience, a... - Great experience, a shop conveniently located at the foot of a Buddhist temple! Ladies, remember to come with shorts because you will be in underwear in a fitting box with sometimes several other customers 😉

Pretty kimono rental - The shop was very accommodating and the ladies did a great job. Make sure you wear shorts underneath if you are shy because you do have to get down to your underwear to get dressed. I recommend renting an umbrella because it is hot in the summer. The only drawback as a solo traveller is that I didn’t have anyone to take pictures of me.

Good fun - A really different experience and good fun too. Dressing up in traditional clothing and the option of having your hair done made for some great pictures. Things I wish I’d known: - your rental is for the whole day - there are many opportunities to upgrade your kimono to a more elaborate one - simple hair style is free; 1650 yen for an elaborate one (worth it!) - dressing takes at least an hour from start to finish.

Top tier work. - They nickle and dime you for everything. With all the money they're making invest in an air conditioning system lol. With that said they do lovely work . Just make sure that their upfront about the prices for each thing.
