• Kyoto - [Experience Details]

1. The staff will provide a lesson on using a brush and applying ink.
2. Practice writing basic characters (Kanji: “One”, “A”, “Forever”, “Kyoto”).
   → You can create a scroll with the Kanji characters you write and take it home.
3. Write your own name in Kanji characters (approximately).
   Our staff will help you choose suitable Kanji characters and explain their meanings.
   Example: Brian → “武礼安” (武 = Martial → military commander/bravery, 礼 = politeness/gratitude, 安 = peace)
   Liz → “梨図” (梨 = Pear, 図 = painting)

Join us for an exciting Traditional Japanese Calligraphy experience! Discover a new skill and take home some wonderful, authentic Japanese souvenirs! This activity can be enjoyed after exploring Kyoto or before dinner, making the most of your time. Watch the video below for a glimpse of the class, and book your spot as soon as possible!
