Join our tour to discover the Gion district and enjoy an enchanting Geisha performance by a Maiko, a Geisha Apprentice. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in a traditional Japanese game with the Geisha Apprentice.

This is the meeting point for the "The Art of Geisha: Exclusive Show & Gion Walking Tour" Look out for the guide that will be holding a board that says "GuideMe Japan". Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the tour as we will start the tour on time and late guests will not be able to join the tour.

High quality tour in Gion with Maiko performance - I can strongly recommend this tour. Rin our guide gave us a good insight in the geisha culture. Our group was 5 members only adding to the feel that the Maiko was almost dancing privately for us. She does two dances, there is ample time for a Q&A with photo shoot and a fun traditional game with her afterwards. Worth your money. I frequently travel to Japan for business and leisure and can only say that it was one of the best activities I’ve done so far!!!

Awesome Show and Interactive experience with the Maiko. - This was a bucket list item fulfilled. I always been fascinated by the Giesha and wanted to attend a show and see them live. We enjoyed the Maiko show thoroughly and I even got to play a game with the maiko and beat her as well,, this was another bucket list fulfilled. The team is very nice and we had a smooth check in process and reserved seats to get front row seats for the show. I will definitely be back with my family to attend this once again. Thanks Yusuke for fixing the confusion on the booking platform we had initially and thank for taking care if it and we will back again in the future.

Fantastic - Very good, Ali is very friendly and informative. She's very keen to answer all of your questions. Maiko young lady was very good with her two seasonal dances. Overall, I'm very happy.

Amazing tour! - Ai was a great guide, very bubbly & made everyone feel welcome. I loved learning about Maiko culture & how they live their life’s. The fan game played with the Maiko was a lot of fun (Even though I sucked). Overall, I recommend this tour to everyone & if you have Ai as a guide for it you’re really in for a treat!

Elegant dance show - It was an amazing experience. Our tour guide Ai was so nice and informative. She answered all our questions, her english was very good. I highly recommend this tour. 10/10 for this once in a lifetime experience.

Fabulous ! - My husband and I had the best time with our guide Ai. The tour was a very good introduction to Kyoto - Gion district. The guide gave us very good recommendations and the tea house experience with the myko was excellent. Totally recommend it !

I recommend this tour. - We were not sure what to expect. But we thoroughly enjoyed our walk through Gion with our guide, Rin and our encounter with the Maiko, Fumiaya. She performed two traditional dances and then sat for a Q and A session. It wasn’t in the least contrived and she was upfront and honest with us (through an interpreter). Then we played a typical Japanese game that involves flipping a fan to hit a target. Fumiaya was very good at it and we could see the girl beneath the maiko make-up and costume as she engaged in the game. We felt privileged to have met her and to have had a glimpse of the geisha life.

Do not book with "Guide Me Japan". I arrived at 3.30pm for 4pm meet at izumo-no statue . Stayed at statue till 4.50pm. No one ca - I am so disgusted at this company "Guide Me Japan. As per their instructions I turned up at izumo-no statue half an hour before the meeting time and waited nearly an hour after the meeting time. Loss to me 10000 taken from my bank account 2600 taxi there 1400 taxi to hotel.
