More that words can express - It was a great meeting; fill with joy, learning, dance, music. It was incredible. I was surprise with the stories surrunding the dance, the dresses, the music... it was magical!

With no prior knowledge or expectations I enjoyed myself and learned quite a bit from the tour and performance - While I had no idea what to expect for the experience as a whole, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. There was a larger group than I expected, and multiple tours convened at the tea house to watch a performance and learn more about the life and duties of a maiko and geiko. It was very informational, and the performance was very pleasant. I would absolutely recommend it for those interested in the culture and history of japan and its various forms of art.

Friendly geisha experience - Mika was an excellent guide! She was incredibly knowledgable. The overall experience was educational. It was great to be able to hear from a maiko and former geiko directly about their perspectives. Everyone was friendly.

Loved This Geisha Experience Tour - Truly Insightful and Revealing - Our tour guide Mika was friendly and very good at relating the history and tradition of Geiko in Japan. The tea house mother (a retired Geisha) was fun and engaging in sharing her stories and relating the Maiko and Geiko lifestyle. And the young Maiko who danced for our group and answered questions was elegant, charming and very open with her responses. We learned so much and experienced more than we expected. Highly recommend!!

Recommended for those who want to know more about geisha culture - The geisha tour in Kyoto was very interesting and educational. We got a lot of background information about the Gion district, with stories and details that you would otherwise easily miss. It was special to see the maiko and geiko at work, and the geiko talked about her life as a geisha in a fascinating way. A small downside was that our guide spoke a bit softer and her English was not always easy to understand, especially compared to the guide of the other group who walked with us at the same time. Nevertheless, this tour is definitely recommended for those who want to get a deeper insight into a unique and often hidden part of Kyoto.

Skip this tour - My husband I thought the walk through Gion was special but the tea house was too many people in one room. The tea house owner’s talk was too long and not informative. The dance was short. The one hour in the tea house was a complete downer.
