The tour is led by Yusuke, a local Kyoto guide who personally designed and conducts the tour. With experience guiding over 3,000 guests, Yusuke is dedicated to providing a deeper and more peaceful exploration of Arashiyama.
For guests opting for “The Tale of Genji” experience: Most locations on this tour (excluding the bamboo forest) are featured in The Tale of Genji. If interested, Yusuke will provide historical and literary insights during the tour.
Both options cover the same sites, with “The Tale of Genji” option offering additional literary storytelling.
- Travel/Walking time is included on the total tour duration. We will walk about 3km/55minutes during the tour with enjoying local scenery.
- You have to take off your shoes to enter inside at Seiryoji-temple and Daikakuji Temple.
- This tour will take about 4 hours.
