After a one-hour drive east of Prague, you will reach the architecturally rich town of Kutna Hora, established in the Middle Ages amidst a vast silver ore field. Over time, it became a symbol of the power and wealth of Czech kings and the kingdom due to its money production. As you stroll through the town’s historic center, it becomes clear why it was designated a UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage site. The interior of the Cathedral of St. Barbara, the patroness of miners, is undoubtedly one of the finest examples of late Gothic architecture in Bohemia. During your visit, you will see the church, the Old Mint, and the Sedlec Ossuary - the Bone Chapel.
