Manhyia Palace Museum - After breakfast, visit the National Cultural Center, home to the Prempeh II Jubilee Museum and various artisan studios, including those of brass-makers, potters, and batik artists. The museum showcases a replica of the legendary Golden Stool, a spiritual emblem of unity for the Ashanti people. The next destination is the Manhyia Palace Museum, where you can learn about the Ashanti kingdom’s rich history, dating back to 1700, through its relics and artifacts.
Cape Coast
Cape Coast - Embark on a long drive to Cape Coast (approximately 4 hours). Stop at the Asin Manso Slave Market, known for the “last bath” of enslaved Africans before they were transported to various slave castles.
Accra
Kakum National Park - Enjoy a morning at the beach before visiting Elmina Castle. Explore the first European structure in West Africa, initially built by the Portuguese for trade and later used as a slave castle. Continue to Kakum National Park to experience the canopy walk on suspended bridges. Hike through the pristine forest and discover the medicinal and spiritual significance of its diverse trees.
