The Semenggoh Rehabilitation Center serves as a temporary sanctuary for displaced Orangutans rescued from captivity and young orphaned primates. These animals undergo training to adapt to their natural environment, learning essential skills like foraging for natural food and constructing nests in trees. Many have successfully reintegrated into the surrounding area. Visitors can enjoy a walk along the trails and try to spot semi-wild Orangutans. Daily feeding sessions are scheduled at the feeding platform.
Located 24KM from Kuching City, the Sarawak Cultural Village is an award-winning ‘living’ museum that spans 17 acres at the base of Mount Santubong. This cultural village offers a glimpse into the tribal lifestyles of the diverse ethnic groups that inhabit the beautiful Land of Hornbills, Sarawak. Approximately 150 residents live in the village, showcasing traditional daily activities, allowing visitors to experience the arts, crafts, games, and delicacies of the seven major ethnic groups.
