• India Street - India Street is bustling with shops offering a variety of goods, especially textiles. Halfway along India Street, there’s a narrow passageway leading to Gambier Road. Following this path, you’ll discover a small Indian Mosque tucked away in the city center. This Mosque has seen numerous renovations since its original construction by Kuching’s Indian Muslim community in the mid-19th century.
• Carpenter Street - Situated in the heart of Kuching, Carpenter Street is one of the city’s most renowned and lively streets, rich in history and culture.

Today, the area is home to a mix of long-standing establishments, easily recognized by their vintage signboards, and new businesses that have naturally settled in.

It’s a beautiful spot for photography enthusiasts and those who love capturing street scenes. Despite the new additions, much of the street’s original charm has been preserved over the years. Walking down Carpenter Street often feels like stepping back in time.

• The Old Courthouse - The Old Courthouse

The Old Courthouse is a historic building near the Kuching waterfront. Constructed by Sir Charles Brooke, the second Rajah of Sarawak, in 1883, it features ironwood and Sarawak motifs. Originally intended for government offices and state ceremonies, it hosted Sarawak state council meetings until 1973.

• The Round Tower - The Round Tower

The Round Tower of Kuching is a unique heritage building in Sarawak’s capital. Built in 1886 after a fire destroyed much of the area between Carpenter Street and Main Bazaar, this fort-like structure was initially thought to be for military use but became the Public Dispensary from 1886 to 1947. It later housed the Labour Office and the Subordinate Courts Registry. Today, it serves as the headquarters of the Sarawak Craft Council.

• Kuching Waterfront - Kuching Waterfront, lining the south bank of the Sarawak River, is a place to experience the city’s cosmopolitan atmosphere. By day, it offers picturesque views of the Astana, Fort Margherita, and the Malay kampungs across the river; but the best time to visit is after sunset when the vibrant nightlife enlivens the esplanade.

A social hub for locals of all ages, the Waterfront offers something for everyone. Enjoy a ride on a local Penambang boat to take in the sights and sounds between the riverbanks or stroll across the newly built Jambatan Darul Hana, or Darul Hana Bridge, connecting both sides. Numerous food stalls, restaurants, and entertainment facilities line the Waterfront. Several older buildings have been preserved and integrated into the design, including the Chinese History Museum, the Sarawak Steamship Building, an open-air theatre, and the Square Tower.
