- Taiping Lake Gardens - The Taiping Lake Gardens is the first public garden established during British rule in Malaysia. Located near Bukit Larut, it is equidistant from the town center and the Taiping Zoo.
This expansive evergreen park is designed around former tin mining ponds and is surrounded by magnificent rain trees as old as the park itself.
The Lake Gardens serves as a vibrant community center where people from all walks of life gather every evening, especially on weekends. Join the fun by renting a paddleboat (at your own expense) and rowing around the lake before enjoying a long, breezy stroll.
- Taiping War Cemetery - The Taiping War Cemetery is the final resting place for Allied personnel who lost their lives during World War II, particularly in the Malayan Campaign and the Japanese occupation of Malaya. Servicemen who died post-war or during their posting in northern Malaya before the Malayan Emergency are also buried here.
