It has become one of Malaysia’s premier eco-tourism destinations, earning numerous prestigious awards.
Next, the tour proceeds to the Penang Batik Factory. Established in 1973, Penang Batik Factory Sdn Bhd exemplifies the true cottage industry in the manufacturing of traditional Batik.
Following this, the tour visits the Monkey Cup at Teluk Bahang roundabout. This roundabout is one of the latest in Penang to be beautified, now adorned with giant sculptures of the Monkey Cup or pitcher plant, scientifically known as Nepenthes. It is considered one of the most beautiful roundabouts in Penang. Guests will then enjoy a delicious local Nasi Kandar at a hawker center.
After lunch, the tour continues to Teluk Bahang Dam. Teluk Bahang is a small town located on the northwestern part of Penang Island in Malaysia. The Teluk Bahang Dam is situated here, and the town also serves as the entry point for the Penang National Park, formerly known as the Pantai Aceh Forest Reserve. It is located between Batu Feringgi and Pantai Acheh in Penang.
The tour then visits the Tropical Fruit Farm, situated about 800ft above sea level on the hilly terrain of Teluk Bahang in Penang. This location is ideal for cultivating many types of tropical and sub-tropical fruit trees.
Finally, the tour heads to Balik Pulau town. Balik Pulau means “the other side of the island” and is referred to by the Chinese as “the island behind the hills.” It is bordered by a long coastline on the western side and protected by high hills on three other sides. The driver will then transfer guests back to their hotel safely, ensuring a wonderful experience in Penang.
