Petronas Twin Towers

Located in the expansive Kuala Lumpur City Centre, the iconic Petronas Twin Towers are known as the Twin Jewels of Kuala Lumpur. A visit to KL is incomplete without seeing these twin structures. The 88-storey chrome and steel towers are connected at the 41st and 42nd floors (175m above street level) by a 58m-long, double-decker Sky Bridge.

Menara Kuala Lumpur - Situated atop the Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve, the 421m-high KL Tower is currently the world’s fifth tallest structure. Officially called Menara KL, it may be overshadowed by the Petronas Twin Towers but remains a significant architectural landmark offering stunning city views. The viewing deck is at least 100 metres higher than the Petronas Tower’s Skybridge.

Batu Caves - Located 11 km north of KL, Batu Caves is a 400 million-year-old limestone hill with a 100-year-old temple inside, best known as the focal point of the annual Hindu festival of Thaipusam. The celebration draws thousands of visitors who come to witness the colorful spectacle of devotees carrying ornately-decorated ‘kavadis’ (frameworks) adorned with various metal hooks and skewers used to pierce the skin, cheeks, and tongue.

Sultan Abdul Samad Building - One of Kuala Lumpur’s earliest Moorish-style buildings, the Sultan Abdul Samad Building is a prominent city landmark that originally served as the secretariat for the colonial British administration. Today, it houses the offices of the Ministry of Information, Communications, and Culture of Malaysia. Built in 1897 and designed by AC Norman, it is located to the east of Merdeka Square (Dataran Merdeka) and often serves as the backdrop for Malaysia’s annual Independence Day parades.
