Perched majestically on Bukit Nanas at 421 meters and 94 meters above sea level, KL Tower is a striking feature of the city’s skyline and a memorable sight for visitors to Kuala Lumpur.
Located atop Bukit Nanas at a height of 421 meters, the tower is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. As the world’s seventh tallest telecommunications tower, it boasts an observation deck at 276 meters above ground, offering a 360° panoramic view of the city’s skyline. The tower is uniquely situated within the Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve, one of the country’s oldest forest reserves, making it the only tower in the world located within a forest.
- National Monument - The tour continues with a complimentary City Tour to TUGU NEGARA (NATIONAL MONUMENT), SULTAN ABDUL SAMAD BUILDING, MASJID JAMEK, and DATARAN MERDEKA (MERDEKA SQUARE).
TUGU NEGARA (NATIONAL MONUMENT): Overlooking the KL Lake Gardens, this impressive bronze monument was erected to honor the soldiers who sacrificed their lives defending the country during the Communist Insurgency in the 1950s. The National Monument was designed by Felix de Weldon, the architect behind the renowned Iwo Jima Memorial.
- Sultan Abdul Samad Building - SULTAN ABDUL SAMAD BUILDING: This building, one of the city’s most enduring attractions, was constructed in 1897 and is considered one of the finest in the Malay states. It features a grand porch, elegant horseshoe-shaped arches, gleaming copper domes, and a 41.2-meter clock tower. The ground floor houses a Tourist Information Centre.
- Jamek Mosque - MASJID JAMEK: Built in 1909, Masjid Jamek is the city’s oldest surviving mosque. Its design is inspired by the Mughal architecture of Northern India, with cupolas and minarets adorning the brick walls and arched colonnades, while a 70-foot dome crowns the prayer hall. This mosque is located at the historic confluence of the Klang and Gombak rivers, the birthplace of Kuala Lumpur.
- Merdeka Square - DATARAN MERDEKA (MERDEKA SQUARE): Dataran Merdeka is one of the city’s most significant heritage sites. The Union Jack was lowered here to mark the country’s independence from colonial rule, hence the name Dataran Merdeka, meaning ‘Independence Square’. Activities in the area include free heritage guided walks and KL ByCycle tours.
At the end of the tour, guests will be returned to their hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle.
