Carpet - The Basilica of Saint John - The Saint John Basilica is visible from a distance when visiting the Temple of Artemis. It is believed that the Evangelist St. John spent his final years in and around Ephesus and was buried on the southern slope of Ayosolug Hill. St. John’s tomb lies beneath the central dome of the Basilica.
