The return journey is just as delightful, with the lush greenery and striking blue hues of the lake providing a picturesque backdrop.
“Must do when in Tirana - The views and photos from the summit were amazing and the hike is not very difficult. Everyone in my group was very friendly and our tour guide Dorian, was very accommodating and informative. I suggest buying lunch at the restaurant on the hill, as it’s affordable and tasty. A trip to Tirana in spring/summer without this activity is incomplete in my opinion! Incredible value for money. Can’t recommend it enough!” - Reviewed on 2025-04-26

Historic Adventures Await
On June 8th, immerse yourself in the rich history of Kruja with a tour of Kruja Castle. Available from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, this tour takes you through one of Albania’s most significant landmarks. Begin your journey with a visit to the Castle of Kruja, home to Skanderbeg’s Museum. Here, you’ll delve into the history of Albania’s national hero and explore the Old Bazaar, where you can browse local handicrafts and souvenirs.
The tour also includes a visit to the Ethnographic Museum, offering a glimpse into the lifestyle of the region during the Ottoman era. Conclude your day with a drive to the sacred site of Sari Salltik, located on the edge of a mountain 1176 meters high. The breathtaking view from the summit is a perfect way to end your historical adventure.
“Our trip to Kruje Castle - Going to Kruje Castle was amazing! We walked around and bought souvenirs in the old bazaar and Klajdi was our tour guide, and he took us inside the museum and taught us the history of Albania and how Skanderbeg became a national hero. We saw the sights from the castle and had some food afterwards. After the castle he took us to a higher mountain and when we were there the views were stunning! We could see Tirana on one side and the coast + Durres on the other side. The height of the mountain was over 1,000m so it was very high. We had plenty of time to take photos and wander around. Klajdi was a very good tour guide and had a lot of knowledge about Albania.” - Reviewed on 2025-04-15
