- Angkor Wat - Guests will be collected from their hotel between 4:20 and 4:40 a.m. (depending on the hotel’s location) to visit Angkor Wat. The journey to the ticket office takes approximately 15 to 30 minutes. After purchasing tickets, it takes another 15 minutes to reach Angkor Wat. Upon arrival at the western part of Angkor Wat, visitors will cross the floating bridge and enjoy the surroundings at dawn, reaching the pond inside the Angkor Wat complex. At the pond, guests will stand and admire the beautiful sky above Angkor Wat before sunrise. The tour will then continue for about two hours to explore other areas of Angkor Wat, where visitors will see statues, bas-reliefs, libraries, and other parts of the central tower. After visiting Angkor Wat, there will be a 35 to 45-minute break for breakfast.
- Angkor Thom South Gate - On the road from Angkor Wat, this is an excellent entry point to the city for many visitors. All five gates are similar, but the South Gate has been the most extensively restored and is the most complete. Here, the tour guide will provide a 15-minute explanation before continuing to visit Bayon Temple.
- Bayon Temple - Bayon Temple is compact enough to allow any order of visit, especially as the absence of a surrounding wall makes it easy to enter. The inner enclosure’s narrow chamber corridors and stairways offer occasional surprise glimpses of the enigmatic faces, creating a fascinating experience. Guests will learn a lot from the tour guide.
- Ta Prohm - Enjoy lunch at your own expense and take a rest break before moving on to the jungle-enveloped Ta Prohm – one of the most atmospheric temples in Angkor. Once home to 2,740 monks, Ta Prohm today appears much as it did in the early 1850s when French explorer Henri Mouhot ‘rediscovered’ this crumbling site. After exploring the maze-like interior of Ta Prohm, guests will return to their hotel after a long but fulfilling day, leaving them with a lifetime of memories of one of the wonders of the world. The tour concludes with a return to Siem Reap town, with drop-off at the hotel between 3:30 PM and 4:30 PM, depending on the hotel’s location.
- Banteay Srei - Considered by many to be the jewel in the crown of Angkorian art, Banteay Srei is carved from stone of a pinkish hue and features some of the finest stone carvings anywhere on earth. Begun in 967 CE, it is one of the smallest sites at Angkor, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in stature. Known as the art gallery of Angkor, this Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva is wonderfully well-preserved, with many of its carvings being three-dimensional. Banteay Srei means ‘Citadel of the Women’, and it is said that it must have been built by a woman, as the elaborate carvings are supposedly too fine for the hand of a man.
