- Spean Praptos - A one-hour drive along route #6 towards Phnom Penh leads to Spean Praptos. Also known as Kampong Kdei Bridge, it was once the longest corbeled stone-arch bridge globally, featuring over twenty narrow arches spanning 285 ft (87m). Constructed in the 12th century during King Jayavarman VII’s reign, it is one of the few surviving bridges from the Khmer Empire era.

This now-ruined complex dates back to the Pre-Angkorian Chenla Kingdom (late 6th to 9th century). The temples served as a central royal sanctuary and the second capital of the Khmer Empire, built in the 7th Century by King Isanvarman I, then known as Isanapura.

Sambor Prei Kuk served as the second capital of the Chenla Kingdom from the late 6th to the 9th century, originally known as Isanapura. The structures exemplify the Pre-Angkorean period with their straightforward external design. While brick is the primary material, sandstone is also utilized in some constructions. Architectural elements include numerous prasats, octagonal towers, shiva lingams and yonis, ponds and reservoirs, and lion sculptures. Sambor Prei Kuk is nestled within mature sub-tropical forests with minimal undergrowth.
