Siem Reap is a land brimming with mysteries, particularly the detailed stone structures strewn across the region. This journey will guide you through the oldest Angkorian temple complex, Roluos, which was once the capital under the reign of Indravaraman I (877-89). Preah Ko, a 9th-century temple, was erected to honor the royal lineage. Bakhong, the most extensive and captivating temple of the Roluos Group, stands as the original mountain temple designed as a tiered pyramid. Lolei’s four brick towers mimic the design found at Preah Ko. Following a lunch break, the trip continues to a floating village on Tonle Sap lake, featuring stilt buildings, inundated mangrove forests, local fauna, and affable villagers.
