Delightful property away from the hustle and bustle - Had a delightful stay at the property. Loved that the hotel was right by a canal and that each evening one could enjoy cocktails and snacks by the canal on the property itself. The staff’s service was outstanding. Great customer experience during our check-in by Anna and during our meals where the servers in the restaurant and Garden Terrace and Roberto’s were polite and attentive. The room size and the bathroom size was very good by European standards. We had a room with a canal view which we loved. Tram #2 was a 10 minute walk and the bus stop wasn’t too far. We took the tram each day to Dam Square and Jordaan. The town was crowded so returning to the hotel’s peace and quiet was much appreciated. We had breakfast at the hotel one day. Wonderful spread of items. You can order eggs made to order. On 2 mornings we had breakfast in “Little Paris” at Le Pain Quotidien which was a delightful Belgian place with a very cozy vibe which is a 7 minute walk from the hotel. The only thing I didn’t get at this hotel was a coffee machine in the room. They had instant coffee. However, got brewed coffee at Roberto’s. I would highly recommend this property for those who want a serene environment away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds. There are a number of great restaurants and cafes all within 1 to 1.5 km from the hotel.

Amazing tour in Angkor Wat - We booked this tour and hand Mr Pich as our guide the whole day through the Angkor Wat temple complex. The itinerary was well established and beautifully planned around the top most impressive temples. Each temple visit was complemented with a lot of informations around the history of the monument, the building process, age and best photo corners. We also had a stop for lunch and I really recommend trying the different local dishes. The price is fair and food is very good. All in one, for me and my family was a great choice to visit Angkor Wat and enjoyed the whole experience. I would recommend it if looking around on a tour on Angkor Wat and willing to learn more about the history of the place.

Early Photo Tour of Siem Reap Temples - My wife and I went on a 5-6 hour early morning tour of a number of the Siem Reap Temples. We were picked at 4:30 am. The tour started at Angkor Wat for sunrise and ended at Bayon Temple. We had a private tour with a driver and a guide. The guide was knowledgeable about the temples and the the history. He pointed out good photographic vantage points. However, he was not a professional photographer and therefore not able to make specific suggestions on lenses or settings or use my professional gear to take decent photos of us. We appreciated the availability of cold water but we made our own arrangements for coffee and croissants. The temples did not dissappoint. We had been forwarned about the sunrise crowds at Angkor Wat but were able to to get a good spot for using a tripod. We would have appreciated the tour being 30 minutes or so shorter. The light got harsh quickly so the light was only good for the first few hours. The dark stones contrasted greatly with the clear sky by 9 am or so. There was enough shade in some spots to extend the good light.
