Best place to visit in Siem Reap - Our school takes our grade 8 class each year, and I'm always impressed at how well maintained, organized, and informative Ankor Wildlife and Aquarium is. This facility looks like a for prophet wildlife facility but they function as a conservation organization in Cambodia. They are keeping many species alive and flourishing for the next generation.

Teeming fish - WATER boiled with fish as they swirled eagerly round a diver feeding them titbits in the gigantic main tank at Angkor Aquarium. At times there were so many fish that the diver was completely obscured except for the bubbles rising from his aqualung. We'd timed our morning arrival just right and it was a truly spectacular sight to see so many fish in such a large tank. Surrounding the main tank were smaller fascinating displays showing Monsters of the Mekong, some of the giant fish living in this famous river, while there was also a display of South American fish including the dreaded piranha. Cafe areas gave us a chance for a break with a coffee and something to eat while toilet areas were clean and well kept. When we moved on it was to visit the large open ocean tank and others such as ones for life among the mangroves. More attractions awaited us outside including a spacious sanctuary area for tigers and a butterfly garden. An otter lagoon had been well designed to allow visitors to sit on a bench in front of a glass wall and view these fascinating creatures both above and below the water to appreciate their graceful swimming skills. There were civets and sunbears, a reptile house and a small aviary as well as a crocodile stadium for shows which we didn't bother with. The main aquarium tank alone was worth the $20 tour cost which included entry and transport there from and back to our hotel. We spent several hours there and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Well worth a visit for anyone staying in Siem Reap.

Best place in Cambodia. Must visit!!! - Wow I have never seen anything like this place it is incredible the staff especially Tino are the most friendly and the aquarium is world class. It is better than anything we have to offer in Australia. You must make this a major part of your trip itinerary when you come to Cambodia. It is like going underwater at Tonle Sap lake without getting wet. THANKYOU SO MUCH FOR THE BEST DAY IN CAMBODIA!! WOOHOOO!!

Nice Break from the City - We enjoyed visiting the Angkor Wildlife and Aquarium during our stay in Siem Reap. Our guide Tino was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about conservation efforts in Cambodia. The free shuttle from Siem Reap was comfortable and on time. I recommend this activity for families.

A Perfect Family Day at Angkor Wildlife & Aquarium 🌿🐠 - Angkor Wildlife & Aquarium offers an outstanding family experience, and for us it was simply the best. I highly recommend visiting on a weekday—it’s much less crowded, which gave my kids plenty of space to explore, move freely, and truly enjoy every exhibit at their own pace. What makes this place special is the perfect balance between indoor and outdoor experiences. The indoor aquarium is immersive and well designed, with beautiful underwater tunnels and educational displays, while the outdoor wildlife area lets you enjoy nature, greenery, and animals in a relaxed, open environment. If you’re looking for more excitement, plan your visit around the animal feeding times—that’s when the action really comes alive and the kids are fully engaged. The facilities are excellent. The bathrooms are very clean, which is a big plus when visiting with children, and the whole place feels safe, well organized, and family-friendly. There’s also a food court on site—we had lunch there, and the food was nicely presented, tasty, and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience. This is more than just an attraction—it’s a full-day, educational, and enjoyable outing for families. Highly recommended for parents with kids, nature lovers, and anyone looking for a well-managed, memorable experience in Siem Reap.
