- Siem Reap - Guests will be collected between 4:20 am and 5:20 am to embark on an early journey to witness the sunrise at Angkor Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. After purchasing the entrance ticket, proceed to Angkor Wat, the first stop, to experience the sunrise. This is the largest and most magnificent of all Angkor temples, recognized as one of the New7Wonders of the World.
- Angkor Wat - Constructed between 1113-1150 AD, Angkor Wat was dedicated to Vishnu, the Hindu god of preservation. It is the best-preserved temple, with a layout and scale that are truly awe-inspiring. The surrounding wall measures 1,000 by 800 meters, and the moat, symbolizing the world’s oceans, is 200 meters wide. Angkor Wat is an architectural representation of the mythical Mount Meru at the world’s center (Himalaya). This remarkable temple features the world’s longest continuous bas-relief, which adorns the outer gallery walls.
- Angkor Thom South Gate - The tour also includes the Angkor Thom complex. Its expansive walls, approximately 6 meters wide, 8 meters high, and 13 kilometers long, enclose numerous monuments. Within these walls, the king, his family, officials, military officers, and priests resided, while the rest of the population lived outside the grand enclosure, between two artificial lakes. The visit begins at the South Gate, offering a stunning introduction to Angkor Thom with beautifully restored statues of Asuras (demons) and gods lining the bridge.
- Bayon Temple - Within the complex, the first stop is the Bayon Temple, known for its 200 endlessly smiling faces. This temple mountain, located at the center of Angkor Thom City, distinguishes the Bayon from many other Angkor monuments.
- Ta Prohm Temple - The tour continues to Ta Prohm, a monastery built by King Jayavarman VII as a residence for his mother and a school.
Ta Prohm has been intentionally left to the jungle’s powerful forces by French archaeologists to showcase nature’s incredible strength. The temple is largely engulfed by the jungle, and as visitors navigate the crumbling stone structures, they will encounter giant trees growing atop the temple itself. At every corner, one might expect to see Indiana Jones (or Lara Croft) emerging from behind a fallen pillar.
The tour concludes with a return transfer to the hotel or any requested drop-off point within the city center.
