Angkor Thom - This afternoon, embark on a historical journey through Angkor. Begin with a visit to the South Gate, featuring massive statues illustrating the churning of the ocean of milk, and explore the ancient capital of Angkor Thom, constructed in the late 12th century. Continue to the Bayon temple, renowned for its 54 towers adorned with over 200 smiling faces of Avalokitesvara. Baphuon, resembling an artificial mountain, has recently reopened after extensive restoration. You may also visit the Royal Enclosure, the Elephants Terrace, and the Terrace of the Leper King.

Angkor Heritage Temples

Angkor Wat - At 08:00 am, head to the magnificent Angkor Wat Temple, the most esteemed temple in Angkor park and the largest religious monument globally. Inside, the walls are adorned with stunning stone carvings and bas-reliefs. Your guide will share the stories behind these intricate details and allow ample time to explore both the inner and outer grounds of the temple.

Ta Prohm - After lunch at a local restaurant, proceed to the popular Ta Prohm temple, known for being the filming location of the Tomb Raider movie. Built in the late 12th to early 13th centuries, it is a must-see.

Preah Khan - Continue to Preah Khan, “The Sacred Sword,” an expansive monastic complex spanning over 56 hectares, serving as a monastery and teaching center. Preah Khan is the site of the World Monuments Fund’s primary Asian project, undergoing meticulous renovation while preserving its mysterious allure and original structure.

Pre Rup - Visit the Pre Rup Temple, a late 10th-century structure celebrated for its bold architectural design. Enjoy a beautiful sunset if the weather permits.

Temples & Tonle Sap

Banteay Samre - Begin your day at 8:30 am with a pick-up from your hotel. The morning is dedicated to exploring two highlight temples, Banteay Samre and Banteay Srei. Banteay Samre, a Hindu temple in the Angkor Wat style, was built under Suryavarman II and Yasovarman II in the early 12th century.

Banteay Srei - Following Banteay Samre, visit Banteay Srei, one of Angkor’s most exquisite temples. Constructed primarily of red sandstone, this temple features a pink hue and some of the most intricate depictions. Take a break for lunch at a local restaurant.

Chong Kneas Floating Village - In the afternoon, journey to Tonle Sap Lake to explore the floating village’s diverse activities, including crocodile farming, fishing farms, traditional medicine shops, boat shops, spirit houses, floating schools, and more.

Artisans Angkor - Conclude with a visit to Artisans D’ Angkor, a local artisan boutique supporting Cambodian arts and crafts. Discover the creation of wood and stone carvings, lacquering, gilding, and silk paintings.
