Discovering Angkor

Angkor Thom - After securing tickets for Angkor Park, the journey begins at Angkor Thom, heading straight to Bayon Temple, renowned for its numerous stone faces.

Baphuon Temple - Located near Bayon, a quick visit to Baphuon Temple is next on the itinerary.

Terrace of the Leper King - Continuing a bit further, the tour includes the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King, both situated within Angkor Thom.

Ta Prohm Temple - Exiting Angkor Thom to the east, the next stop is Ta Prohm Temple, famous for its ancient trees with massive roots enveloping the temple structures. This temple gained fame from its appearance in the Tomb Raider movie starring Angelina Jolie.

Angkor Wat - After a lunch break at a nearby restaurant, the tour proceeds to the main highlight, Angkor Wat.

Phnom Bakheng - The day concludes at Phnom Bakheng, where visitors often join a large crowd at the summit of this ancient temple. Arriving early is necessary due to a limit on the number of people allowed at the top.

Sunrise, Grand Circuit, and Banteay Srei

Angkor Wat - The day starts very early, departing the hotel at 5:00 am or earlier to head directly to Angkor Wat. Joining other early risers, the sunrise over Angkor Wat is a breathtaking sight, weather permitting.

Angkor Wat - After witnessing the sunrise, guests return to the hotel to enjoy breakfast, included in the room rate, or opt for a restaurant if preferred.

Preah Khan - Post-breakfast, the tour returns to Angkor, stopping at Preah Khan Temple.

Neak Pean - From Preah Khan, the next stop is Neak Pean, located in the center of a man-made lake.

Ta Som - A short distance away, the tour visits Ta Som Temple.

Eastern Mebon - 1.5 km further, the ruins of Eastern Mebon Temple are explored. After visiting numerous temples, a lunch break is well-deserved.

Banteay Srei - Post-lunch, a long drive leads to the pink sandstone temple of Banteay Srei.

Banteay Samre - On the return journey, the tour heads to Banteay Samre Temple, with optional stops to observe palm sugar production or visit the landmine museum if guests are interested.

Banteay Kdei - The final stop before returning to town is at Banteay Kdei.

Water World, Roluos, and Shopping

Tonle Sap Lake - Starting at 8:30 am, the tour heads directly to the boat port near Kampong Phluk on the edge of Tonle Sap Lake. From there, a motorized boat tour navigates the flooded villages, where most houses are built on 30-meter stilts to accommodate varying water levels between dry and rainy seasons. A stop on the main island includes a visit to the Pagoda.

Bakong - After lunch at a floating café, the tour moves to dry land to explore the Roluos group of temples, including Bakong Temple, Preah Ko, and Lolei.

Artisans Angkor - Back in town, the tour concludes with a visit to see crafts and souvenirs at Artisans D’Angkor or the old market in downtown Siem Reap.
