Additional Information

This small town was relatively remote but brought to fame by the almost extinct Mekong River dolphins. The best spot to watch the dolphins is at the Kampi village, 15 km north from town. Dolphin watching is a very popular activity. It is estimated that there are less than 80 dolphins left and the best time to see them frolicking, sometimes in large groups, is in the late afternoon.

A Tuk Tuk would do the same - Do it yourself with a Tuk Tuk, the guide gives little or no information about temples and dolphins. He's even stopped at home and talking to a friend...

Tuk Tuk Drive to 2 Attractions - It has been a tuk tuk ride to two sights. Pick-up from a hotel to which I was also taken back. You could certainly have booked this tour on the road in front of my hotel. So, of course, it was convenient for the driver to wait. (But I have always had this experience in Cambodia). The driver was nice and polite. The price is reasonable

Overpriced - I booked through Tripadvisor, only got a ticket and no contact or other info. My bus was delayed, so couldn’t call or message anyone. I messaged my hotel and they told the driver I was delayed. The driver left and didn’t returned. When I arrived around 15min later, there was no one and after an hour and a half the driver came back. In the mean time I already booked a new tour which I had to cancel. Costed me $5. Than we went on the tour and we did nothing special and still had to pay the boat myself which I thought was included. If you go by yourself you pay $10 for TukTuk and $10 for the boat. The only thing we did extra was a temple which has no entry fee. Total costs now over $50. Would def recommend not to book the tour!!!
