Soksabike - With our local student guide, you will spend your day exploring the beautiful countryside around Battambang by bicycle. Visit with Cambodian families who produce traditional products (such as rice paper, dried bananas, and bamboo sticky rice) made in the same way they have been for generations. You will learn first hand about every day life in rural communities which make up over 70% of Cambodia’s population.
The ride is about 22km. It departs at 7:30am and returns around 12pm. The ride is suitable for all fitness levels.

With this guide, participants will enjoy a day cycling through the picturesque countryside surrounding Battambang. They will meander along the river road, visiting Cambodian families who craft traditional products like rice paper and bamboo sticky rice, using age-old methods. This experience offers a firsthand insight into daily life in Cambodia, shared by the families and knowledgeable local guides.
Highlights include meeting families who produce traditional items such as rice paper, dried banana, bamboo sticky rice, fish paste, and rice wine. Participants can savor seasonal fruits and coconut water. The tour concludes with a visit to a memorial site honoring the victims of the Khmer Rouge.
A portion of the tour fee supports the local community, and the guide is a local student receiving vocational training through Soksabike.
