• Phnom Sampeau - The killing caves of Phnom Sampeau are a Khmer Rouge execution site located on Phnom Sampeau, a hill 11 kilometers southwest of Battambang in western Cambodia. The Khmer Rouge executed their victims at the top of the cave, near a daylight shaft or ceiling hole, and then disposed of the bodies into the cave. Men and women were placed in separate caves, with clothing in another. Several caves at Phnom Sampeau have traditionally served as Buddhist temples. Today, a large glass memorial stands in the cave next to the skulls and bones, alongside a golden reclining Buddha, accessible via a staircase. A memorial made from cyclone fencing and chicken wire contains human bones at the base of the stairway. Visitors can also enjoy an evening watching millions of bats emerge from the caves.

Prahok is cherished by the Khmer people, especially during the dry season when it is most abundant. It is typically prepared for lunch or dinner and shared with family. While the smell might be strong for some, and the taste unfamiliar, for most Khmer people, it is a delightful dish, especially when paired with salad greens, cucumbers, French beans, banana flower, and more. Visitors can experience the local lifestyle and compare it with their own.
• Rice Paper And Spring Roll Restaurant - Rice paper in Cambodia is produced in Daun Teav village, Ek Phnom district, Battambang province, located in the northwest of Cambodia. Known as the rice bowl of the Kingdom, the province provides ample rice for making rice paper. Battambang locals traditionally cook rice paper using a steamer made from Cambodian buffalo skin, though now they use cloth steamers, with rice bran floating over boiling water. The buffalo skin helps protect the rice grains from burning.

Rice paper is essential for making the famous and delicious spring rolls. Due to high demand, most production occurs in factories, but in Battambang, a few families continue to produce them by hand.
