The tour kicks off in Kralendijk, the capital city. Known as “coral dike” due to the surrounding natural coral formations, Kralendijk offers a unique charm. The southern part of Bonaire is steeped in history and beauty, featuring stunning ocean vistas and historic architecture. As participants explore the area, a local guide will provide insights into the region’s nature, economy, and landmarks. There will be photo opportunities at the Salt Flats, the White or Yellow Slave Huts, and the lighthouse. The journey continues past the impressive salt hills, which have been integral to Bonaire’s history since the 17th century, leading to Sorobon Beach for a relaxing beach break. Bonaire is a protected marine park, and Sorobon Beach is nestled at its heart. A secluded bay surrounded by mangrove trees offers breathtaking views. Shallow waters stretch as far as the eye can see, and the seagrass meadows attract diverse marine life, so don’t be surprised if a turtle leisurely swims by.
