Great day in Macau - The tour operator was excellent in communicating even though we had booked last minute (the day before). Gerry, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and we appreciated the flexibility of the tour.

Great tour - Ken was great! I was surprised that we needed to find our own transportation back to the hotel at the end of the day…

No hard work or planning required. - You will need your passports as you need to go through immigration. You need to know that you are paying for convenience rather than a tour. The convenience of having your ferry tickets organised, of being picked up from your hotel and dropped at the ferry terminal gate, of being met at the ferry terminal in Macau. A guide and transport in Macau and lunch. We were picked up at 8.30am from our hotel and Ingrid gave us our tickets and took us all the way to the ferry departure gate for our 9.30am ferry and explained everything that we needed to know. We arrived in Macau and were met by Kenny. The tour, including minibus transport, commenced about 11.00am and Kenny showed us the "real" Macau, gave us a history lesson and explained the Portuguese influence and some interesting facts. We went to the cathedral, went to a bakery that sold traditional Macau snacks, walked past a cemetery, saw a traditional square. Decent buffet lunch included with something for everyone. Saw the Parisian gardens and the Eiffel Tower. The tour ended about about 3.00pm at the Venetian and Kenny explained how to get back to the ferry for our 8pm ferry (noting that we could go back earlier if we wanted). Kenny was excellent. We booked our tour through Booking.com which was a longer tour (more free time in Macau after 3pm but make your own way back to the ferry) however, the others in our group were on a shorter tour where they left at 4pm and were dropped at the ferry terminal to catch the ferry back to Hong Kong.

Macau glitter and admiration!!!!✈️🎉✈️ - We are thrilled with Macau, a piece of Portugal with Asian kneading, a contrast of antiquity and bright modern lights. It is very easy to get from Hong Kong, we had little time 1 day, but on foot a lot of things were bypassed well and there are shuttles running around the city between iconic casinos free of charge, so getting there is no problem, but the day is short...we want more

Difficult Communication , and cost not as stated by Viator - Very, very difficult to communicate with accurately. I received numerous emails saying pickup at 8:30AM, then an email the night before saying 8AM,,,,finally a phone call at 9:30 the night before saying 8:15.........they arrived at 8:30........ The guide does not provide you with a return ferry ticket initially, after showing him the printed correspondence he agreed to get one for us.....however, he then said the home office required him to obtain $50 more dollars from each of us........Viator provided NO help in trying to resolve the times initially, and, doubt they will do anything to assist with the $50 now either. Frankly, they are not what they used to be. VIATOR,,,,you quoted a price,,,,,you should honor it,,,,,we could not come back to Hong Kong from Macau unless we paid the $50 more. You owe me $300.

Poor organisation and everything in a rush - pick up 30 minutes late, then departure for the ferry, at a run, few explanations given, the Macau-rated guide was a friendly local but sometimes difficult to understand, we run constantly, the lunch was poor and bad, the end of the tour is in the huge and odious mega resorts, which have little interest, and the client is abandoned here, with autonomous return, the tour has the merit of going around the main attractions, these being located for sure on the side of the old town and not in Taipa

Unfortunate - Not worth £130; the ferry tickets were only £40 and the buffet lunch was pretty unassuming. It says the tour is for 9 hours but we arrived at Macao at 10:30 and the guide finished at 2pm. The whole time we spend on the bus (the guide did tell us about history etc) with occasional 15min stops for pictures and lunch. All the places that are included in the tour are free to entry anyway, so not sure where the price is coming from. You’d be better off going by yourself and controlling where to go and what to do.

Disappointing. - I hate to give such a low score but this tour was very disappointing. Macau is definitely worth a visit, but the tour feels very superficial. You spend little time at the historical areas, you don’t get to go to the top of the tower, the lunch at the hotel is average.
