Ideal tour - Excellent tour with Andy. He took us around to a variety of great restaurants, and we really enjoyed the food. Andy took time to explain the history and culture of some of the old Hong Kong areas and markets too. The tour is ideal to experience the culinary delights of Hong Kong. Good value.

Unmissable! - Such a great tour! We were met on time by our guide Mel, dressed in a neon orange shirt which made him very easy to follow in the crowded markets. He took us to some amazing little spots that we wouldn't have even thought of trying on our own including one where we sat with locals and watched some ladies making dumplings by hand. We saw where goldfish are sold, which pastry shops are better and why, how meat is procured and sold, and where to take the best night time photos. It was a blast! Mel also took us into a building that is open to the public and which has facilities for locals like a gymnasium and gathering rooms. There was a place to sit down and he explained several delicious pastries he had for us, along with telling us about life in Hong Kong. He told us how housing is arranged, how elderly or disabled folks are cared for, and how Hong Kong residents eat. It was fascinating and we felt like we really gained fabulous insights into how the social and cultural life of the city takes place. We could not recommend this tour more highly! If you get Mel for your guide you will be very lucky. Say hi for us!

We got a taste and experience of the Kowloon market area - The tour was fun and informative but especially good local food! We were given a tour of Kowloon district with its markets (women’s, men’s, goldfish and fruit markets) and got a taste of the best local cuisine. The noodles are bakery were my favourite! Our guide gave us a good overview of the lifestyle of the area and the housing situation…

Interesting and informative - Andy was a really interesting guide - he walked us around the markets, explaining some of the history and culture. He took us to many different eateries where we ate foods we wouldn't have tried otherwise - some more unusual than others! Personal favourites shrimp dim sum and egg tartlet. A most enjoyable experience, thank you.

Great way to sample food and experience the culture - Kiyo was a great guide! Highly engaging storytelling, very friendly and funny, happy to answer all our questions, and made all the food sampling experiences a lot of fun for the group. This tour was my top Hong Kong experience. Highly recommend!

Great guide, bad food - The tour guide and the info he shared was great. We learned a lot about the culture and Hong Kong. The man himself was knowledgable, very charming, and pleasant. However the food was quite bad and def not starred by anyone or anything. We were great with the street food aspect but both actual restaurants we went to were essentially a diner and the main meal was mid at best; bland, uninteresting, we all ( the whole group) struggled to find something we wanted to eat. Never was offered any dim sum. The best 2 things were the egg tart (warm from oven and delicious) and a fresh mango in the fruit market.

Not great, but not bad. - Guide was great, however I expected to be offered more street food and typical Hong Kong styled food. I thought he would order and let us sample a selection of different things thereby trying new foods instead of things I can get at home in Australia.
