Great Tour of Montenegro - Had a wonderful tour of the Montenegro Coast, which included the towns of Perast and Kotor. Got about an hour and forty minutes in Perast, which included an optional boat ride to the island of Our Lady of the Rocks. Later, we got about three hours of free time to explore the old city of Kotor, which was the highlight of the trip. There were beautiful views of the coastline throughout much of the journey. Navigating the border crossing from Croatia into Montenegro can be challenging sometimes, but our guide Matej made sure this, and everything else on the tour, went smoothly. His enthusiasm for his job made the trip even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour.

Beautiful Perast and Kotor! - This was a well-paced day with a knowledgeable guide. We stopped in historic Perast and had the option of the short boat ride to Our Lady of the Rocks. We were glad we chose this option. The scenery and drive around Kotor Bay is gorgeous & we enjoyed having lunch & strolling around Old Town Kotor. A great day!

One day, two countries - We had a wonderful trip from Dubrovnik to Kotor with a stop at Perast midway on the way to Kotor for a boat ride to the “Our Lady Of The Rocks” church on a small island. Our 20 passenger Mercedes bus was clean and comfortable. Our magnificent driver handled the winding roads skilfully and safely, while giving a commentary on the sights around us. He also wove in an amazing amount of history of the region At Kotor we ha about 3 hours to explore on our own, and have something to eat and drink. It was an early start and a long day but enjoyable and very worthwhile.

Highly recommended tour to Montenegro - A wonderful day in Montenegro with our super nice driver and guide Gabriel. This provided us with extensive information about the country and culture throughout the day and brought us home safely again. And best of all, no waiting at the border.

Matej was a great guide!... - Matej was a great guide! He was super informative and charismatic! Our driver, Ilija, handled the winding roads so well! Couldn’t have asked for a better staff. The amount of time at border control is unpredictable but getting a super early start was really beneficial. Thanks, Amico Tours!

Worth the drive to see Kotor Bay! - Evan (Ivan), is a well-informed tour guide and safe driver! We had a lovely small group trip from Ploce Gate (easily reached from the old town, Dubrovnik), with an early morning start (7:15am) to the border and onto ‘Our Lady’ with a short boat ride (€10 each) and a quick walk around the tiny island and walk through the church (€3 each) to see some artefacts, art work and the famous tapestry made from hair, silver & gold thread. Then a little stroll along the only street and coffee on the Kotor Bay waterfront. Onto the main town of Kotor for 3 hours of free time , with a clear street map and circled suggestions of what to see. Although there are plenty of places to eat or drink inside the walls, the main restaurant outside (you have to pass it) was clean and spacious with a nice menu. It was a long drive back of just over 2 hours, but the aircon and beautiful views of the ever extending bay in Montenegro, or green valleys of Croatia, made for a pleasant drive. Lots of driving (thanks Evan), but worth it to see the amazing Kotor Bay set in a ring of mountains like a Fjord, made it worth it. Don’t forget your passport!

Excursion to Montenegro - We thought we had a multilingual guide including French but we had an audio guide on our cell. Difficulty installing the application and running. Not ideal. Montenegro is beautiful and the guide dynamic despite not speaking French. I don't regret my excursion.

Do It - If you have an extra day in Dubrovnik, do it. But understand it is a long day. Our pick up was at 6:10 (after a 10 minute walk to our pick up spot). First stop Perast. A really charming little town on the bay. I usually don’t do this sort of thing so trust me and spend the 10 euros to go over to the church on the island. Then you must go to one of the restaurants right on the shore and get a Perast cake. My wife, daughter and I, split one with some ice cream and it was delicious. We got ours at Armonia restaurant. Views in and around the bay are absolutely spectacular. My only complaint was 3 hours is too long in Kotor. Every single one of the 17 of us on this tour agreed that after 2 to 2 1/2 hours, we were just killing time. Two hours to 2 1/2 hours is plenty of time to see everything that needs to be seen in the Old city along with having a leisurely lunch and, as far as we could tell, there really wasn’t much outside of the old city worth seeing that was close. In my humble opinion, the old city at Kotor is more or less just a miniature version of the old city in Dubrovnik. However, again, the surrounding scenery in the bay is beautiful. The driver was absolutely fantastic. We came back to Dubrovnik a different way to a much smaller border to avoid delay. We were lucky, apparently stories you read about delays at the border do occur from time to time. Fortunately, we spent maybe 10 minutes at the border on the way in and a little less than 10 minutes on the way back. Are on board guide was a really nice young man who did a great job of getting us around. However, he spent way way too much time, giving us political commentary. If you have the time, do this tour and Mostar. The real trick is picking between the two if you only have one day. The length of the day and time in the mini bus is almost the same. Mostar is more interesting than Kotor. But the scenery on the way to and around Kotor Bay is far superior. Perast is a better stop than the falls on the Mostar trip.
