Authentic experience - For anyone who thinks this will be a tourist style performance, forget it. This is the real deal. 2 hours of intense, focused training. The Sumo do not engage with the viewers. We remain silent and still. Our guide answers our questions via text. It was a fantastic experience, an insight into their training rituals. They did allow us to take photos at the end but there is no chit chat or promotions - you are literally watching 2 of the 4 hours they practise and spar including their end of training prayer ritual. They live in the building. Its authentic. Tomo, our guide, was very welcoming and respectful.

Memorable Experience in Japan - Mao was the perfect tour guide. She was very pleasant and accommodating and held in depth knowledge about Sumo Wrestling.During the 2 hour viewing, she communicated with her tour guests on what’s-app since we were unable to communicate during the Sumo practice. It was a great tour with a great guide.

Amazing morning! - We visited a sumo training session today with our guide Mao, and it was such a special experience! It happened to be a bit crowded with spectators, so we couldn’t all sit close to her, but Mao came up with a great solution — she created a group chat where we could share our questions and comments. She explained everything so clearly, from the traditions behind sumo to what was happening during the practice, and answered all our questions with enthusiasm. Mao truly made the day memorable. Highly recommended!

Best Sumo experience. Don’t do a show do this authentic morning training session. - Super informative tour in an actual stable in their morning practice. The wrestlers really put in 100% and Mao was a wonderful and informative guide. Totally recommend !

Great experience - it was a great experience, Yuki was a great tour guide very knowledgeable about the sumo history and sport. being in the training arena, up close and personal was an intimate experience which allowed us to get immersed in the sport. we were lucky enough to see a yokozuna. would definitely recommend.

We were told the history and fun facts by our guide Yuki, and we went to watch the fascinating training - Yuki was an excellent guide and explained throughly , really fascinating and would highly recommend!
The training was interesting, and the history of the sport really rich, highly recommend this and our great guide Yuki!!!
