- Gokyo Ri - The Gokyo Lake Trek, also referred to as the Gokyo Lakes Trek, is a variation of the Everest Base Camp Trek. This journey leads adventurers to a pristine valley in the Everest Region, featuring 19 interconnected freshwater lakes.
This stunning Sherpa Valley can be visited either before or after reaching Everest Base Camp (5,364 m). The trek follows the traditional Everest Base Camp route up to Mong La Pass (3,610 m) before branching off in a different direction.
Trekkers will witness the majestic peaks of the Khumbu Region, including four of the world’s eight-thousanders. The trek’s highlights include the turquoise waters of the lakes, the rich Sherpa culture and traditions, and the ascent of Gokyo Ri (5,357 m).
The Gokyo Lake Trek traverses the world’s highest conservation area, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The route is lined with forests of pine, oak, and rhododendron, home to alpine birds and wildlife.
