- Piran - Piran is one of the oldest and most picturesque towns in Slovenia, rich in history and culture. The nearly 500-year Venetian influence has bestowed the town with a unique charm. Its cultural heritage is not confined to museums, as architectural and artistic treasures that enhance the daily life of locals can be found at every turn.
- Tartini Square (Tartinijev trg) - Giuseppe Tartini, the renowned composer and violinist, was born and raised in Piran and greatly influenced the town. Today, his bronze statue graces the town’s main square, alongside Tartini’s house, where visitors can admire one of his violins. Tartini Square is encircled by impressive buildings, including the ornately decorated Municipal Palace, Tartini Theatre, Maritime Museum, Aquarium, Marine Biological Station, Baroque House, and Apollonio Palace. Overlooking the town is the largest and most significant church, the Church of Saint George, offering a stunning view. Piran’s town wall, narrow streets, fishermen’s nets, compact houses ascending the slope, and the beautiful sea create the sensation of walking through a painting.
- Portoroz - Portorož, meaning ‘Port of Roses’, is a favored tourist spot with hotels, casinos, and lovely beaches. Nearby are the Sečovlje natural salt pans, where salt is harvested from pure sea water using fascinating traditional methods.
- Izola - Finally, we will visit Izola, renowned for its fishing heritage.

Wonderful scenic tour - This tour was much more than we expected! Since we were there off season, it was just us on the tour with our wonderful guide. Our guide told us so much history of Slovenia, stopped for scenic views along the way to Piran (which there were many). What amazed me the most was that you can see 4 countries from the coast - Slovenia, Croatia, Italy & surprisingly Austria. The coastline is gorgeous and the small fishing villages were lovely. Piran is the jewel and we spent time on our own exploring this small town.

This tour was grossly... - This tour was grossly overpriced at £140 for what turned out for me to be a two hour tour of Piran. The guide for Piran was not even going to take us onto the town walls and was just going to walk past them until I asked him to take us there which he agreed to and all enjoyed the experience.
The tour description is also very misleading as it says the tour is in English, whereas it was actually conducted in Engliah and Italian. I feel clients should be told in advance if a tour is going to be multilingual so they can choose not to go on it.
The tour was also extremely disorganized. We spent 2 hours in Piran. When we were about to leave I asked the Piran guide where we were going next. The Piran guide did not know as he said he would only be present for the Piran part of the tour. So I asked the driver where we were going next and he thought we were going into Koper for wine and cheese. There was no mention of wine and cheese on the KoperTrips programme and I did not want to waste my time doing that as I had come to see the Slovenian coast.
The driver suggested at one point we might be doing Predjama castle which alarmed me as I thought we were doing the Slovenian coast.
So I abandoned the group tour in Piran and felt that it was a much better use of my time to continue to explore Piran by myself which I did.
Generally very poor communication as both the driver and the Piran guidr seemed to have no idea of the general programme plan.
