magnificent holiday - It's an extraordinary island, more beautiful than postcards. The animators are exceptional, valiant, funny. The hotel is amazing, super clean, attentive staff and very responsive. I'll be seeing them again soon.

Most upleasant at the end of my holiday - I spent 1 week at a beautiful complex in Gouvia Corfu the name of the complex Zefiros Apartments run by Husband and wife names Gusta and Leah I had a lovely week and all was good until the morning I was leaving my checkout time was 10.30 am which was fine my pick up time was 18.40 pm I asked Gusta the day before if I could stay on the complex for a while he said no I also asked if I could hire out a bed at the pool I was also refused he said there was a big group coming in on the morning of my departure there was only a few residents at the pool the following day however I was very fortunate to meet up with 2 lovely people on the day as it was raining in the morning and I spent the whole day in their company. I have been travelling solo for 21 years and I was never refused extra time at a hotel or complex so for that experience I will not stay at the Zefiros again Mary WilliamsCork Ireland

But are we in Europe? It would seem not... - Pretty, well... I'll tell you about my experience and my impressions based on: location, food, hospitality for tourists and services. Starting from the location I can say that the island offers beautiful landscapes, pebble or sand beaches and crystal clear sea but nothing to envy of other Italian locations (Sicily, for example, offers equally beautiful and evocative beaches and sea). The food deserves a special mention because it is truly fantastic. I recommend you try all the typical Corfiot and Greek dishes because they are nothing short of wonderful, especially if cooked by expert hands. I was captivated by the flavors of mousaka and fasolakia, not to mention souvlaki, Gyros, baked feta, stifado, etc. All truly excellent, tasty, wonderful. Analyzing the welcome for tourists I must admit that compared to a few years ago (about 25 years ago I was in Crete: an experience to forget) I was pleasantly surprised: on the beaches I frequented there were bathrooms equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas 15 euros on average, clean and well served and the assistants friendly and precise. The only sore point is the fact that you cannot bring food and drink from outside as it is mandatory to consume only the products offered by the internal bar and the prices there skyrocket (a few examples: a liter of sparkling water with ice 6 euros, a shaken coffee 5, 50 euros). Last point the services: here there is a lot to talk about in denials but I will focus above all on the roads, small narrow ones and reduced mdl especially in the western part of the island. Vertical and horizontal signs are practically non-existent (non-signalised intersections, non-existent road markings, horizontal stop signs not present, traffic lights with symbols and lights of dubious or non-standard colours). Terrible night lighting. The highway code is not respected, wild parking, prohibition signs not respected, in short, a real jungle. To aggravate this state of affairs there is the total lack of controls: in the five days of my stay I never saw a police patrol or an agent on the street... nowhere... it seems like a no-man's land, sloppy, abandoned and left adrift. It's a shame, because the landscape and the food would make it the perfect tourist destination for tourists looking for relaxation
