Almaty - Charyn Canyon - Kolsai Lake - Saty Village
Charyn National Park - The journey begins from the hotel early in the morning. After a 2.5-hour drive, the remarkable natural wonder of Kazakhstan, Charyn Canyon, awaits, featuring its most captivating section - the Valley of Castles. This ancient canyon, formed 2.5 million years ago, boasts stunning stone sculptures and breathtaking vistas. Visitors will have a couple of hours to explore the canyon floor up to the Charyn River or opt for a ride in local eco-park jeep taxis.
Kolsai Lake - A further 1.5-hour drive leads to Kolsai Lake, a magnificent mountain lake with crystal-clear waters that will enchant any visitor. There is free time to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The Kolsai Lakes consist of a chain of three mountain lakes, separated by coniferous forests and rocky mountains. A pleasant trail encircles the lake, and activities such as boat riding (except in winter) and horse riding are available.
Several restaurant and café options are available at the lake for lunch.
After a fulfilling day, guests will check in at a comfortable guest house, where a delightful dinner will be served by welcoming hosts.
Saty Village - Kaindy Lake - Almaty
Lake Kaindy - The following day begins with breakfast and a departure to Kaindy Lake, one of the world’s most unique lakes, featuring ancient spruces rising above the water’s surface. Formed by an earthquake in 1911, this site is a captivating natural wonder. The lake’s cold waters preserve the submerged forest.
Viewpoint of Charyn - On the return journey to the city, there will be a stop at a viewpoint overlooking a picturesque section of the Charyn Canyon known as Black Canyon. Here, visitors can observe the swift Charyn River flowing between towering black stone walls.
A stop at a local village for lunch or snacks is planned before continuing to Almaty. The city will be reached in approximately an hour and a half.
