• Knossos Archaeological Site - The journey begins at the renowned Minoan Palace of Knossos (Entrance not included), the legendary residence of King Minos, who lent his name to Europe’s earliest civilization. Greek mythology tells of the fearsome Minotaur – part man, part bull – who resided at Knossos, feasting on human flesh and bone. This creature was ultimately defeated by the courageous Athenian prince, Theseus, within the secretive Labyrinth. Portions of the ancient Palace have been unearthed and restored by the British archaeologist, Sir Arthur Evans, allowing visitors to gain a clear insight into the Palace’s purpose and its intricate and mystical Labyrinth. With guidance from an experienced and official guide, visitors will explore the Throne Room, the Royal Apartments, the Central Courtyard with its shrines, and other intriguing areas of the Palace.

Following this, there will be free time to explore the city of Heraklion, where one can enjoy lunch, coffee, or shopping. Heraklion is a city of contrasts, where ancient history and modern cosmopolitan life blend to create a delightful mix.
