Well worth it - Do the 8.30 and get the glass bottom kayak. Less crowded, see the ocean floor through the boat. Picked up. No mosquitoes.

Epic early morning kayak - We joined a group of 3 other couples kayaking (including the guide). We toured through the mangroves for some time, quietly experiencing the sounds of the water and the birds, and then when we turned around we thought it was over but we actually went out in the open water and toured the mangroves from the ocean side which was incredible. We also kayaked over some reefs and saw some fish. For some reason I didn’t choose the clear bottomed boat but I should have! We felt very safe with the guide there, especially in the open water. We would not have been comfortable without him. We did the 8:30 tour which I’m glad about. It would be much hotter otherwise.

Great kayak trip to the mangroves - We had a lot of fun on our kayak tour.
The pickup worked great, and when we arrived at the mangroves we had coffee, tea and juices.
Our guide John has spread a very good mood and also told us a lot.
We were even on the road a little longer than we thought.
We can absolutely recommend the tour!!!
Thank you again.

Fun activity to pass a few hours - Was a fun activity for young kids and our teenagers. Paddling was a bit harder than we anticipated but everyone enjoyed themselves. Guide took us to see some big star fish which was nice.

Very relaxing activity - Very well organised trip, included i the price is pick up and return to your hotel. Nice touch was some toast and juice on arrival. I travelled solo so had a guide and main paddler with me in the kayak. I didnt realise we would be going out to the open sea. And although is was pretty calm I was a bit surprised how far we went out. I asked the guide to go back into the mangroves and he obliged. It was very peaceful floating thru the shade of the mangroves. I did find the captive hoards of fish at the docking area a bit gross and a bit cruel to have such large fish contained in an unnatural environment…

Great experience, average tour - The experience of going through the mangroves with a kayak is very special and we had a lot of fun. The start is directly at the premises of the organizator so it's very comfortable that you can get changed and lock your things away for the tour.
You then go to the kayaks and get going. At first you paddle on a river against the stream, which is a bit difficult and tiresome, but nothing one couldn't handle.
The you go directly into the calm mangroves, where there also is no current. Only problem there is the other boats, so you have to take care not to bump into each other.
After a short time you turn around and go to the ocean, where you paddle along the coast side of the mangroves. Then you enter the river again (this times with the current) and are at the start again.
You get out of the boat and have the opportunity to go aprx. 100 metres into the mangroves on a boardwalk.
We had very much fun on the tour, but would rather not have a guide with us. Though he was nice, the guide was not very talkative and did not explain much, even when asked. The tour felt a bit rushed, too, although we were on the water for no longer than 40 minutes. The tour was announced to be 1 hour long.
So I all in all, I would definitely recommend going through the mangroves with a kayak. Next time I would try to go there on my own and just rent a kayak, having a guide did not bring us any advantage.

Dissapointment… - We booked the 1hr kayak tour at 9.30 am with hotel transfer. First they sent us an email where they said the pickup would be at 10.30am. I corrected them and asked if it was possible to follow the booked time-schedule, this was not a problem they said. The day of the tour, we waited 1hr at the lobby of our hotel because they did not come on time. We called them and tried to contact them via Whatsapp multiple times but only after 15 min they would answer and just told us to wait. No further explanation. When they finally arrived, they did apologize but could not give us an explanation or compensation. When we arrived at the office, they made us wait another 40 min because there were two other people coming on to the kayak tour with us (which we didn’t know beforehand). These two girls were also picked up 30min too late. The tour itself was below average. The guide didn’t say a word and seemed very rushed. We’ve never experienced anything like this before and are very dissapointed that we payed for the whole thing.
