  A brief introduction to Lithuania and the city will lead to a more detailed explanation of why it was almost never part of modern Lithuania. A view over the river will reveal the city’s transformation and how it compares to the present day.
• Chimney Sweep on the Roof - A sculpture-city plan of Klaipeda’s Old Town allows us to not only locate ourselves for the rest of the tour but also foresee what has been lost. This city plan will introduce the upcoming tour and help us locate it on the sculpture (city plan).
  Before continuing, a quiz question will be posed…
• Kepėjų gatvė - A stop at the narrow streets of Klaipeda where we will find the “Tower” sculpture will help us recognize how the structure of the Old Town differs from other Lithuanian cities. The “Tower” sculpture highlights the daily life of Memel through the centuries. We will try to identify who the real locals were while leaving the tower through the street of the messenger - BUT WHO NEEDS A MESSENGER…?
• Klaipedos Dramos Teatras - Not only the main square of the city, but also one of the most remarkable spots that was at the epicenter of WWII.
  The balcony where the initiator of the war gave one of his many speeches will highlight the key aspects of the conflict and the role the region played…
• Turgaus gatvė - A glimpse into the past will help you imagine how the city of Memel looked, how the architecture of one of the main streets has changed, and what role it played for the Memelburg castle.
• Kalvystes Muziejus - The extraordinary stories that the museum and its exhibition hide are worth a whole day of discussion. The artifacts in the background of the Blacksmiths Museum might surprise you…
• Jono Kalnelis - One of the last remaining fortifications dating back to the 17th century… once built to defend against the enemy, it was later used by the enemy.
  Over the ravelin, we will finally be able to locate the tower of the only church in the old town. This discovery will allow us to explain the occupation era of the city…
