Must-Do Experience in the Outer Banks - My sister and I did the Kitty Hawk Maritime Forrest and Marsh Tour in mid-April of 2026 and it was the absolute highlight of our weekend in the Outer Banks. My sister had never kayaked before, and our guide, Gavin, was an absolute rockstar ensuring we knew what to do and that it was a good fit for first-timers. (Selfishly, she said this tour was - and I quote - the best idea that I have ever had). We saw numerous birds, including an osprey and osprey nest, and we learned so much about the Outer Banks area! It was the perfect value for the experience and I’ve already suggested it to a number of people. We booked via Trip Advisor and that made it super easy. The tour company was appreciatively communicative and even sent a reminder text to fill out the waiver prior to our arrival, which was extra helpful for someone like me whose inbox is an infinite black hole. 10/10 recommend this company and this tour, and will be back!

Beautiful Day for Kayaking - Our guide, Courtney, gave a brief and informative introduction to kayaking for those who were first timers or needed a review. She was knowledgeable about the wildlife in the reserve as well as general knowledge about the area.

Not bad for more novice kayakers - Went to the Outer Banks for our anniversary. Decided to take in a kayak tour for something different than normal sightseeing. The day was a little windy, but not bad once we got into the marsh area. Not a lot of people were in the group, and not a lot of wildlife to witness. Even so, the weather was good and not too tough for more novice kayakers. Gavin was great company, and provided some interesting information about the area and history.

Highly recommended - Three sisters from AK, FL, and CT couldn’t be more pleased with the tour and visit with guide Rebecca/Becs at the helm: insightful, incredibly cheerful, and patient. We learned a lot and so very grateful for our time there. The boats were great, too! Highly recommended! 🏆

The equipment was nice and well taken care of, Gavin was friendly and welcoming upon our arrival, and the vibe of the whole trip was very chill and easy going. Gavin was a wealth of knowledge about the flora, fauna, and history of the area, and we saw awesome wildlife. Would absolutely recommend!

Ingrid I. Revette - Amazing experience!!! Highly recommended! My kids and I had a fantastic time; it felt safe, fun, low-risk, and incredibly relaxing from start to finish. We also enjoyed learning about the forest and local fauna along the way, which made it even more memorable. Our guide, Cortney, was outstanding professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. She was especially kind and patient with my kids, which made a big difference. We truly appreciated her effort to speak our language and her constant smile, which made the whole experience even more welcoming. It left such a positive impression that I’ve been inspired to try kayaking back in our hometown!
