The journey begins with a visit to a local reindeer farm, where participants will learn about these magnificent Arctic creatures and the traditions of reindeer herding. There will be opportunities to feed, pet, and photograph the reindeer. Following this, guests will warm up in a cozy lakeside hut, enjoying campfire treats cooked over an open flame. The day concludes with a magical guided snowshoe trek across a frozen lake into tranquil forests. This is an unforgettable experience! Please note, this activity is not suitable for children under 14 years old. A local guide will accompany the group throughout the adventure.

reindeer farm and snowshoe - beautiful discovery of a real reindeer farm with Helli, who turns out to be a friendly, funny and attentive guide. little snowshoe ride without much difficulty in autonomy and a little comfort in a typical little kota with everything you need to regain strength. a little surprise at the end. thank you for this pleasant moment

A spectacular day with the ultimate hostess - We could not possibly have had a more incredible time with Heli. She is one of the people in the world who has truly found what they are meant to be doing: serving as a capable educator, the consummate hostess, and a fantastic ambassador for Lapland and Finland. We were able to pepper her with questions and receive thoughtful answers to each one. We had a much more up-close, intimate, educational experience with her reindeer than we could have imagined. Our time spent snowshoeing in the wilderness was serene, beautiful, and spectacular. An overarching theme that we appreciated: Heli offered the perfect mix of hands-on engagement and hands-off “go do your thing” encouragement. We were free to interact with her reindeer as we saw fit, rather than lining up for staged photo ops. We were set free to snowshoe around her beautiful neck of the woods and explore to our hearts content, rather than trekking single file behind her. But at the same time, she opened her home so graciously to us; taught us so much about her life, her region, and her country; and made us feel so welcome – not like an annoyance (which some tour guides in Lapland do!).
Heli has found her calling. I can’t recommend a day with her and her reindeer highly enough.

A true local experience - A true local experience in Lapland. Heli generously brought us to her home turf where we visited her neighbor’s reindeer farm and were able to stroll among the reindeer while feeding and petting them. Met the local reindeer farmers/herders and learned about life in Lapland. Afterwards we went next door to Heli’s family cabin and snowshoed on the lake and in the forests before enjoying some fireside treats that she prepared for us. DELIGHTFUL!! Highly recommend this A+ experience.

Best Ever ! - One of the most fun trips we had with a tour operator. Thanks to Heli and Tolma. Heli was exceptional in handling our booking. She was flexible and was able to adjust our group size accordingly since I booked the tour a while ago. In the end, we ended up with 13 pax. The reindeer farm tour was quite interesting and well organised whole the snowshoeing was exceptionally fun ! We ended the tour with a nice bbq lunch ! We also had a nice short ride round the frozen lake in a sled pulled by a snowmobile ! Overall, we had an amazing day out !

Fantastic - This is a unique and authentic experience with a lot of variety, ideal for families with larger children from the age of 13. The scenery is breath-taking. The host was very cordial and provided lots of tasty snacks by a crackling fire. The typical berry juice could not be missed either. We really enjoyed this experience.

Unique nature experience - A unique, authentic experience, passionately organized by the creator of SOMA Adventures, a true local (which is rare). 100% nature. Good balance between farm visit, proximity to the Rennes, explanation of the local flora and fauna, a friendly time by the fire, and a snowshoeing trip.
The half hour journey is well worth it compared to some packages.
We recommend and will definitely go back if we had a second chance in Finland.

Authentic experience! - The tour with Heli was just incredible and our absolute highlight in Finland. After visiting the reindeer farm, we were provided with delicious drinks and snacks in Helis Hütte am See. Afterwards we did a snowshoe hike across the lake and into the forest. Heli told us a lot about Lapland, the culture and the animals. The tour is truly unique and takes place in small groups, away from mass tourism.

Discovering Lappland's Wilderness - We were recommended to do a tour with Heli by friends and it was worth every penny. Driving outisde of the touristic Levi really madr a difference to feel more connected to Finnish Lappland's wilderness. The Soma team showed us the reindeer farm, prepared a snack in their hut and led us on a snowshoe trip. An unforgettable experience!

Great!! - Today we had a visit to the reindeer farm and a snowshoe walk. It was great! It was so peaceful and authentic. Heli was super nice and told a lot about the culture and the area. We regret that we did not book other excursions with her during our holiday, because it was really cool and not touristy at all. She also took nice pictures, which we received afterwards. Thanks again for this fun afternoon!💜
