"Bringing the Durrells' Corfu alive. So much more than just another tour! " - Firstly the convenience of being picked up from our apartment at a time suitable to us was exceptionally helpful. The provision of the air-conditioned vehicle was lovely and service was prompt. Both Maria and Nina were a font of knowledge and kept us well informed not just about the Durrell family and their experiences but also about other aspects of local, national and international history. From the moment we started the tour we felt special and it was fun to be part of this exclusive private experience. Meeting Amanda and her animals used in the Durrells filming was such a therapeutic experience which we absolutely loved. The way in which our tour guide greeted Amanda made us feel like we were being introduced to a family friend. A huge thank you for this unique opportunity. All of us could have spent the day just with Amanda! We didn't feel rushed, were given space to ask questions and the whole experience was a pleasure. Seeing places where the Durrell family lived or where the films were made brought aspects of 'My Family and Other Animals' alive and the series alive. Danilia village was a beautiful treat to visit a real step back in time. The additional cost was worthwhile and more like a voucher which we could redeem in the cafe which we weren't expecting. So much was packed into our tour, even seeing Mon Repos Palace and the gardens and stunning coastline here where filming occurred. Ending our tour in Corfu Town itself where the Durrell family first took up their lodgings on arrival at the Pension Suisse was a lovely conclusion to one of the best days of our holiday. A special thank you to Nina for making this tour happen for us and to the kindness, fun conversations and educational engagement we had with Maria and Amanda.

Excellent tour - An excellent way to see the key locations from the Durrells (and it effectively doubles up a wider tour of Corfu’s history as you travel through the old town and countryside with a knowledgeable guide). An excellent mix of walking tour through the old town, visiting key locations from the series, a refreshment stop in Danilia village, seeing the donkey and other animals used in the Durrells and then the fantastic views from Mon Repos. Unrushed and with a very comfortable air conditioned minibus. Would strongly recommend.

The Durrell's, their friends, and a sweeping view of Corfu's sights - Guide Nina and driver Spiro took me and 4 friends on a four hour ride around Corfu that was excellent. Nina pointed out Strawberry House and other residences and landmarks on the beautifuk island associated with the Durrell's. We also saw the sites connected to Spiros, their friend and taxi driver, and Dr. Stephanides, who was their family friend and who mentored young Gerry Durrell. We were taken high into the Corfiot hills where we looked down over the sea and over to Albania. There were several filming sites, including the beach and shallow water where the Durrell's are shown in the t.v. series to be seated at their table having their dinner with their feet in the sea. It was a perfect afternoon and we all considered ourselves very fortunate to have taken this private tour.

Great tour of the Durrells. - Very relaxing tour. Even if you're not a fan of the show or seen it, you can still enjoy the real life story of the Durrells. You'll still see alot of cool places in Corfu. Great tour!

The Lives of the Durrells and so much more - Booked at the last minute but the best tour we have done on our trip to Corfu. Our guide was Amanda, who has lived on Corfu for almost 10 years. Amanda was really engaging and we learned so much about the Durrells’ lives and about the history and culture of the Island. We paddled in the sea, took a ride in a boat and drank Greek coffee. The tour has inspired us to find out even more about the Durrell family and to return to Corfu. Would highly recommend this tour.

An amazing tour - If you are a fan of the PBS Durrells of Corfu show, this is the tour for you! Amanda (and the driver) were wonderful, imparting all kinds of information about the show and the real life family. It was everything I expected and more!

If you're a Durrell's fan, this tour is worth your time - Our guide was very knowledgeable about the Durrell's story although was not aware that the village was closed on Monday's. Missing that was disappointing but certainly not the leaders fault. Our ship was in port on a day things were closed

Spend 410 euros to rent the entire Durrell series instead of the tour - The filming of the Durrell series took place on Corfu but only for the outside scenes, all inside scenes were filmed in the UK. The guide pointed out the buildings where scenes were filmed, but those were often far away and on private property. We did get to walk along the sea where some scenes were filmed (take shoes that can get wet, which the guide thankfully told us bout pre-tour). The tour was described as “On average, this experience will take approximately 4h.” However, our tour was only 3 hours and that is only because the guide, Amanda, stretched out the tour. She often had to refer to her notebook so perhaps this is a new tour. The views were delightful but the tour was a disappointment.
