Experience an authentic Balinese village tucked away next to Lake Batur on this tour. We begin with a morning pick-up, followed by a drive to the boat dock. From there, we take a boat across the lake to explore Trunyan Village. This village is renowned for pre-Hindu animist customs and unique rituals and ceremonies that are distinctively Balinese. The villagers, known as the ‘Bali Aga’ or ‘Original Balinese’, have a notable tradition of not cremating the dead. Instead, they place the bodies in a gorge near the village and let nature take its course. After touring the village, we return to the boat dock and head over to the Batur Natural Hot Spring. Soak in the hot spring whilst delighting in the panoramic view of Lake Batur up close. Next, we visit Penglipuran Village, a traditional local village known for its tight-knit community. Our tour culminates with a visit to Tibumana Waterfall.

True Bali highlight! - What a wonderful trip with our guide, Mur, whose knowledge, great driving and friendliness enhanced our experience. Pick was on time, vehicle was clean and super comfortable. The trip to Trunyan Cemetery was extraordinary, boating across the beautiful Lake Batur. Nothing g creepy or unpleasant. On the contrary, reflective, informative and a truly unique experience. The hot pools were an unexpected pleasure. Please do not hesitate to experience this full day tour. Big thanks to Mur for his dedication to ensuring our day exceeded our expectations

A unique experience and great day - Our guide "Netra" was very friendly, and arrived punctually to start the day. Communications with him prior to the trip were good, and when we entered the van in the morning there was bottled water waiting for us, which was a nice touch. The activities ran as per the schedule, and each was unique. Truyan cemetery was the highlight for me, as it was so different from anything I've seen in my country. I will never forget it.
There were 2 opportunities to swim (1 hotsprings, and 1 waterfall), as well as a beautiful classic Balinese village to explore, and take nice photos. At each stop Netra organised the tickets and told us where to go. He gave some commentary, and was happy to answer any questions. The lunch stop was very good (decent spice levels), and in a very scenic location, perched up the top of the crater rim.
At each stop we had sufficient time, and it was really up to us how long we wanted to spend. We never felt rushed by Netra, and we were able to relax on the ride home while he braved the intense traffic!
All in all, a great day, and I highly recommend this daytrip, with Netra as your guide.

Highlight tour of our trip! - This tour was such a highlight of our Bali trip. My partner and I have been to Bali many times but this tour in particular was very special. Mur, our guide and driver, was fantastic - knowledgeable, kind and curious.
I would recommend to anyone wanting to go beyond the beach clubs and behind the curtain into Balinese culture and customs.

Trunyan Cemetery - We had an amazing experience today with Wayan Netra, we visited the Trunyan Cemetery where the spirits welcomed us, feeling of happiness and peace, then onto the hot springs and the Tibumana Waterfall.
A beautiful day well worth the visit, Wayan was very knowledgeable.

Little taste of Bali! - I had been wanting to go to see Trunyan Cemetery for quite some times. I'm glad I finally booked this experience with Eco Bali Tours. My partner and I had a really great time with our tour guide, Pak Putu Ajus. He was very knowledgable, professional, and thoughtful through out our experience. Besides Trunyan, we also got to see the beautiful Tibumana Waterfall, the quaint and unique Penglipuran Village, and we finished our day by relaxing at Batur Natural Hot Springs. Oh, we also took a little lunch break at Grand Puncak Sari. Our tour guide recommended this buffet style restaurant and it did not disappoint! The food selections were plentiful and delicious, and you got to enjoy the beautiful view of Lake Batur and two mountains; Agung and Batur!
If you have a little morbid curiosity, this is the one tour you have to book when you're in Bali!

What a day trip! - The day trip was a highlight of our short stay. I really nice taste of what Bali has to offer, a long day but worth it. The scenery was fantastic with such amazing rainforest. Our driver and tour guide Budi was excellent. He was knowledgeable, patient, but didn't over do it (he was happy for quite time as well).

A piece of Bali’s heart. A wonderful day of culture, nature and smiles right through the j - My 10 yo daughter and I had a lovely day with Putu as our tour guide, Putu was extremely knowledgeable and well travelled. Putu is a great guide, very accommodating, made us feel truly welcomed in Bali and also has pleasant sense of humour that made the day even more enjoyable. We saw and visited a lot of places at a comfortable, well-paced itinerary.
Putu thought us about Balinese culture and customs, showed us local edible plants and plant medicines and even took us to try delicious Balinese food at a local market. Everything was well organised, relaxed, and informative.
At bed time my daughter felt mesmerised about the day and told me she could see temples, waterfalls and jungle when she closed her eyes.
Highly recommended!!
