• Donegal Bay - On leaving the harbour, we are met with Rotten Island lighthouse which was constructed in 1838. It is still functional & extremely important to all vessel entering & departing the port.
• St. John’s Point - We can also see in the distance, St Johns Point Lighthouse, located at the end of the long peninsula, constructed in 1831 & also still functional & now used as guest accommodation which is very popular.
  We will then travel west along the rugged Donegal coast which shows its beauty from centuries of Atlantic storms showing their strength, firstly passing Drumanoo Head.
• Fintra Beach - En route to the cliffs we will view Fintra beach with its Blue Flag credentials, that then leads us onto Muckross Head.
• Muckross Head Peninsula - After Muckross Head we pass by Teelin Bay & onto Carrigan Head. Rounding Carrigan head with Napoleonic tower overhead looking down on us, the majestic Sliabh Liag cliffs start to come into view.

Embark on a voyage from the scenic Killybegs harbour, located in the remarkable County Donegal - previously acclaimed as ‘the coolest place on the planet’. Our destination is the base of Europe’s tallest accessible marine cliffs to witness the awe-inspiring Slieve League cliffs that ascend 1,972 feet / 601 metres above the sea level.
As we journey, we encounter many significant landmarks such as Rotten Island and St John’s Point lighthouses, Drumanoo Head, Fintra Beach, Muckross Head, and the renowned Giant’s Desk and Chair nestled in the bay, right in front of the majestic cliffs.
While the ship navigates near the cliffs, you have a superb opportunity to observe various caves & waterfalls speckled and tumbling down the cliff edges.
As we head back, view Benbulbin, the table-shaped mountain in Sligo at a distance, and towns dotting the coast of Donegal Bay.
Well known for being one of the world’s most bountiful waters is Donegal Bay. Throughout the summer, it’s typical to spy marine creatures like dolphins, porpoises, basking sharks, and tuna.

• WHERE DO YOU PARK? There is plenty of parking along the shore. There is a free car park beside the Ahoy Cafe just opposite where the boat is tied up. The muster point is at the head of the breakwater on the Small Craft Harbour, but we ask that passengers kindly do not park here as the pier is very busy with new boats being built.
