Lake Ihema - Begin your day with a leisurely breakfast at your hotel before being picked up by our safari guide for the trip to Akagera National Park. The drive takes approximately 2.5 hours, depending on any stops along the way. Enjoy the stunning landscapes en route and feel free to request stops for photo opportunities. Upon arrival at the park, enjoy a brief game drive before checking into your accommodation for lunch. After lunch, embark on a boat trip on Lake Ihema to observe hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitat, as well as buffaloes and elephants by the water’s edge. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Game Drive and Night Game Drive in the Park

Akagera National Park - Start your day with an early breakfast at 6:00 am before heading out for a morning game drive in Akagera National Park. This is the perfect time to spot late-night hunters and early risers. Look out for large mammals such as elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, various antelope species, and the recently reintroduced lions and rhinos. The park offers diverse habitats for wildlife and is home to over 500 bird species, making it a birdwatcher’s paradise. Return to the lodge for lunch, then prepare for the night game drive.
