• Alter Markt - Embark on a self-guided outdoor escape game in Kiel to track down a stolen formula. This on-foot adventure turns the historic old centre into a live playing field. The team crosses Alter Markt and makes its way to Nikolaikirche, cracking codes, solving riddles and completing photo challenges along the route.

The game lasts around 2 hours and is played at the team’s own pace. A team consists of 2 to 5 players sharing one phone, with each player taking on a character with their own role in the mission, so the phone is passed from hand to hand. Larger groups can form multiple teams and race against one another. A start date and time are chosen at booking, and the game can begin whenever suits the group - there is no guide leading the way and no fixed departure time. A smartphone with an internet connection is required. The mission begins at Alter Markt.

After booking, an email is sent with instructions and the game link. The free Loquiz app should be downloaded before setting off, then head to the start location and open the link to begin.

Kiel itself becomes the puzzle in this self-guided outdoor escape game — no venue, no host, just the team and the streets.

Magnus has taken the formulas and scattered the proof across the old centre, past Alter Markt and Nikolaikirche, and every location holds a code, a riddle, or a photo task waiting to be cracked.

Roles matter here: one player reads, another looks, and the team moves on only once everyone agrees. Sending two or more teams out at the same time turns the hunt into a contest, which is what makes this city escape game work just as well for a team-building afternoon as for a day out with friends. Reading clues while the city moves around you is all part of the challenge.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
