Ethical sanctuary, 5 elephants all appear well cared for. Picked up from our hotel, short drive to sanctuary. We were placed in - Great couple of hours spent at the sanctuary. We were picked up from our hotel as agreed, put into small groups with a guide, we were able to feed the elephants snacks we had prepared and followed whilst elephant was led to the river.
Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, we felt the elephants were well cared for.
Would recommend this trip if you are staying in the area

Good ethical elephant sanctuary - Very interesting visit to elephant sanctuary. We did the 1.5 hour experience which included hotel pick-up, the opportunity to feed several elephants and walk among the river trees with one of them. No touching, no bathing and no riding which was what we wanted. Mae, Tony and the gentleman who greeted us on arrival were very knowledgeable and informative and clearly cared deeply about the elephants

Magical - Really magical experience. The elephants are very well looked after, loads of space to roam free and never forced to do anything, they choose to go wherever they want and you just follow them which is great. The guides are very knowledgeable and you can tell they really care for the elephants here. Would definitely recommend.

A memory to last a lifetime... - I looked for an elephant sanctuary that didn't bathe, swim, or touch these beautiful animals and decided on this sanctuary. We were divided into small groups, given a bit of history on the elephants then was able to feed them bananas. We then walked with them, more like followed them around. They weren't forced to move, eat, or walk where they didn't want to. It's an experience we will treasure...

Great day - This was a great day out getting a chance to see the elephants up close was an amazing experience. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the whole experience was well worth it. Not often you’ll get a chance to wash an elephant

Great and ethical sanctuary :) - This experience was lovely and I would not trade these memories for anything! We were picked up from our hotel and then arrived at the sanctuary where we were given a quick background on the sanctuary and the elephants they have. We then went and made some herbal snacks for the elephants to eat.
Seeing the elephants up close was honestly amazing!! You could tell the workers truly and genuinely cared for the elephants. I appreciated that there was some elephants who did not want the snacks and the workers would simply tell us to go to another elpahnt instead of attempting to force the animals (as I have heard other “sanctuaries” do). It felt like a space where the elephants were highly respected and cared for. We also got to see the elephants walking around because (and as the tour guide reminded us) this space is theirs first and foremost.
I loved that when meeting wach elephant the guide would tell us their name, their age and when they got them. They also told us a bit about their personality which I thought was cute.
The elephants were beautiful, stunning creatures. So gently and lovely.
Honestly such a lovely experience and a comfortable atmosphere.
We also climbed to see a waterfall and went to a sea turtle conservation! Lunch was also provided.
The guide we had was super friendly and informative and I would highly recommend.

Beautiful experience for all - Wow. This was an amazing experience. Incredible to be so close to elephants. These are all rescue elephants who are now living a relaxing retirement. We fed them and then took a walk with one of them. I loved that we weren’t allowed to touch them - it was very respectful and their welfare obviously came before our needs!! The guide Tony was hilarious. Highly recommended

Excellent 4h experience on elephants - Had a great 4h trip at Tony's elephant sanctuary including feeding the elephants, having a walk with one of them, watching elephant going for a swim. After this had a great swim at a nearby waterfall. Trip finished with a thai cooking class where we prepared together excellent Pad Thai as a dinner for us. Overall highly recommended!

Natural elephant camp near Khao Lak - Interesting elephant camp without riding and bathing, 5 female elephants 31 to 51 years old. Nice young guides at the camp. Price - performance with 50 € per person with taxi are ok for 90 minutes stay. The camp has existed since 2023.
