Your first destination is the Dragon Cave Temple, an impressive limestone cave known for its local herbal medicine (which helps lower blood cholesterol) made by the resident monks. You’ll ascend the mountain via numerous steps, passing various Buddha statues along the way. The Indian influence of Hinduism is evident, and you can visit the statue of the healer Aslath. The second temple, Bang Rieng Pagoda Temple, combines three different architectural styles – Thai, Chinese, and Jedi. This beautiful hilltop temple features a large seated golden Buddha image and stunning Thai temple architecture. After gaining some insights into Buddhism, you’ll enjoy a delicious Thai lunch with a fantastic view of the famous limestone rocks of Phang Nga and the mangrove forest. Finally, you’ll visit the Manisii Maha Tat Temple, notable for its large black statue of the monk Por Than Klai and its beautiful main temple building. Por Than Klai is one of the most renowned monks of his generation (1876-1970), known for his accurate predictions.
